With dense clusters of bustling businesses, Vegas’ Chinatown may seem to the untrained eye like merely a warren of modest and humble Asian-owned restaurants, bakeries, markets, and shops. But those in the know, with keen awareness of just where to look, are privy to the exciting gems hidden away here. Now, you can be, too, thanks to this Lip Smacking Foodie Tour that takes you behind the doors to three intriguing hotspots, still largely undiscovered by most Vegas visitors, that feel like a best-kept secret. Designed for guests who appreciate the novel and the distinctive, this 2-hour tour is limited to those who are at least 21 years old.

As with all Lip Smacking Foodie Tours, this one comes complete with a professional tour guide who will lead the way to these three very special establishments, all the while providing fascinating facts about each one, as well as this colorful neighborhood. There’s no worry of getting lost or missing your intended destination as there might be if you tried to find these places on your own. There’s also no need to wait in line for a seat nor any fumbling with the menu to try to figure out what best to order. All of that is taken care of, so all you need do is sit back, relax, and bask in the fun vibe at each spot – all with complete VIP service. Price is $125 per-person, which includes all taxes and gratuities. At each venue, you’ll enjoy one pre-selected signature cocktail or mocktail, plus an array of signature dishes. To cap off the evening, there will be a final sweet bite, too.

The tour begins at what appears to be an unassuming, family-friendly Mexican taqueria known for its original street tacos. But come nightfall, Más Por Favor transforms, shedding its strait-laced ambience to let loose its wild side. That’s when those 21 years or older who ask the cashier about “tonight’s delight,’’ will gain passage to a Mexican graffiti-adorned tunnel leading to a hidden door that opens into a secret speakeasy. Welcome to a one-of-a-kind lounge and Mexican tequila bar, done up with chandeliers, dramatic murals, and two soaring arches – one blanketed in red roses, and the other covered in menacing skulls. It’s where the cocktails are colorful and creative, the food compelling and addictive, and a DJ pumps up the volume to get the party started.

Next, it’s on to GYU+ Social Lounge, where a modest sandwich shop in the front hides an intimate Japanese-style speakeasy in the back. Only open three nights a week, this clandestine place is a tough ticket to land. Be transported to a hip Tokyo bar and lounge, with its dramatic ceiling covered completely in pink flowers, live entertainment, and delicious contemporary, elevated takes on Japanese street food.

The final speakeasy is Lullabar for a true taste of Thai food. Most Thai restaurants in the United States gravitate to the cuisine native to Bangkok and the central part of the country. Lullabar, however, specializes in the uncommon Isan cuisine of Northeastern Thailand. Full of salty, sour, smoky, spicy, pungent and herbal notes, it has more in common with the cuisine of Laos, the country just across the Mekong River. Get ready for authentic Thai food like you’ve never had before.

This Lip Smacking tour is perfect for visitors and locals alike who are hungry to explore the hottest IYKYK side of Vegas. Private group requests also can be arranged.
