Experience the exquisite culinary delights of one of Las Vegas' most iconic resorts, the MGM Grand. Not only one of the largest hotels in the country, but one of its grandest, it’s instantly recognizable by its gleaming 50-ton lion mascot at its entrance, one of the most massive bronze sculptures in the United States.

Let Lip Smacking Foodie Tours, the city’s premier award-winning culinary tour company, show you this impressive resort as it takes you to three renowned restaurants in one memorable evening on its “Taste of the MGM Grand.’’ All the restaurants are conveniently located within the 6.6-acre luxury resort that entertainment company Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer originally opened in 1973 to much fanfare and named after its 1939 film, “Grand Hotel.’’

This 2 ½-hour excursion at prime-time escorts you to three of the resort's most acclaimed restaurants to enjoy a parade of signature dishes at each one, including unforgettable desserts at the end. There's never a wait, as all tour guests are escorted immediately past host stands to the best seats in the house for VIP service from start to finish.

The evening begins at Morimoto, the celebrated, fine-dining Japanese restaurant by the legendary Masaharu Morimoto, who was Iron Chef Japanese on the original “Iron Chef’’ Japanese television cooking competition and later a star on the Food Network’s “Iron Chef America.’’ One of nine Morimoto restaurants around the world, it has landed several times on the “Top 100 Restaurants in the World’’ list.

At this elegant restaurant that blends East and West, you will savor Morimoto’s signature pizza draped with tuna slices, olives, and jalapeno, and finished with anchovy aioli; crisp and golden rock shrimp tempura; succulent pork ribs in sticky, spicy tamarind glaze; and a fanciful Tiger roll, enfolding shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, asparagus, spicy aioli, sesame seeds, and green onions.

Those partaking of the optional beverage package will enjoy the Geisha’s Secret, an alluring blend of vodka, lychee, Japanese Calpico soda, and pomegranate syrup.

Next, it’s on to Craftsteak, a AAA Four Diamond steakhouse by Tom Colicchio, the James Beard Award-winning chef and veteran head judge on Bravo TV’s “Top Chef.’’ Prime beef and Japanese Wagyu star on the menu, along with impeccable produce, the freshest seafood from day-boat fishermen, and the most sought-after ingredients from artisanal producers.

Guests will be treated to a classic frisee salad crowned with farm egg and smoked bacon; a 12-ounce skirt steak cooked to perfection; and sides of sauteed seasonal mushrooms, and creamy rich aligot, a French version of mashed potatoes that's loaded with butter and Gruyere. They’ll also have the option to sip The Berry Nice, a tangy blend of Stoli Raspberry vodka, cranberry juice, Chambord Black Raspberry liqueur, and fresh lemon.

The final restaurant is Luchini, a contemporary Italian-American restaurant inspired by the urbane yet comforting flavors of New York City. The dishes are characterized by generous portions served with pride just like nonna would make.

Get your fill of Grandma’s Meatballs, moist and delicious in a sweet-tangy marinara sauce; Spiedini alla Romana, the classic skewered toasted peasant bread covered in melty mozzarella and zesty lemon caper butter; and Penne alla Rosa, with supple pasta in a spicy, creamy tomato sauce. The finale is sweet indeed with devil’s food cake enriched with chocolate mousse and a flourish of chocolate curls; and airy profiteroles filled with hazelnut pastry cream and drenched in Nutella sauce.

To sip, there’s the optional Prima Donna, a standout of Grey Goose vodka, limoncello, lemon juice, strawberry, and fresh basil.
